The menu is a testament to quality and innovation. Signature dishes such as the King Crab Nigiri amaze with perfectly tender crab, its natural sweetness heightened by masterful seasoning. The Toro Nigiri and Wagyu Nigiri are pure decadence—rich, buttery cuts of premium tuna belly and melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu beef that linger on the tongue with sublime umami. For something vibrant yet comforting, the Bowl Salmón offers fresh salmon paired with delicate accompaniments, while the bittersweet Matcha Tiramisu provides a refreshing finish to the meal.
Guests consistently praise the freshness of the fish, emphasizing how each bite feels like a delicate melt that celebrates the purest flavors of the sea. As Carlos Martinez rightly noted, the service matches the food’s excellence, with attentive staff who guide you thoughtfully through the menu, making every visit feel personalized and effortless. Daniela B’s recommendation to dine at the bar perfectly captures the convivial atmosphere—watching skilled chefs craft each piece enhances the pleasure of savoring such impeccably prepared sushi.
While some occasional nuances in taste have been mentioned by discerning palates, the overarching sentiment from locals and international visitors alike is one of awe and satisfaction. Xime’s enthusiastic endorsement of Sushi Tatsugoro’s nigiri underscores the restaurant’s ability to justify a premium price with quality that truly delights.

This place is a must in Mexico City!! This place is hands down one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to! The service is amazing and the food is phenomenal! The chefs are so amazing and prepare everything in front of you and explain what everything is! It’s located inside the hotel St Regis! A must try!!
Seriously, this place is in a different dimension when it comes to sushi and Japanese food. I have a very high bar when it comes to sushi and Japanese food and have tried it in so many different places around the globe. This restaurant is by far one of the best in the world. The fish is just so fresh and it melts in your mouth. The service was superb. Juceline, our server, was super friendly, very knowledgeable in sushi, sake, and everything else. I was quite impressed with her professionalism and hospitality. Not to mention, their tableware, like bowls, cups, glasses, and every single detail, felt like I was in a very upscale Japanese restaurant in Japan. This place is not cheap, but you will feel money well spent. If you know Japanese food and sushi, you must go here. They also have other restaurants in NYC and La Jolla, CA.
Amazing!!! Honestly - some of the best sashimi I’ve had in Mexico City. Not to mention the attention. The spot is private and intimate - I recommend dinner at the bar, so you can interact with the chefs’. Definitely coming back.
Gorgeous place with views of the Diana Cazadora. The service is impeccable as well. The food does leave a little to be desired. The fish was very fresh but the clams were right on the verge of being too fishy to eat meaning they were manipulated a bit too much. This was surprising since the owning group is the same as Sushi Kyo. The rest of the food was pretty good but I might not think it's worth the high price paid. Offering truffle, foie, and caviar just to jack up the price seems a bit from the 2010s. This place seems super postable on social media but not much more than that. The matcha tiramisu and the japanese custard are 100% worth it, though. I'd gladly come just for those.
The best nigiri I’ve had in Mexico City. Pricey but fair because the sushi is SO incredible. Must go. Will come back soon. I left very satisfied and my tummy is happy.
Love how this place is an open space. Waitresses service were excellent. Everything was fresh. But the fish are not very well cut. Maybe the real chef was not there.
